Tulsa Winch Group Is Now TWG

What began as a single enterprise in 1929, Tulsa Winch, and the definition it implied aptly characterized both our products and manufacturing location at the time. Over the years, the company expanded its markets through acquisitions and organic growth that broadened the breadth and depth of our product line, signaling the need for a new name change. As Tulsa Winch Group, the company continued its strategy to acquire businesses that not only enhanced its product portfolio but created new synergies and greater opportunity. This prompted the need for a clearer identity--one that reflected the force we had become.

 

Tulsa Winch Group is now TWGToday, we are TWG—a name that retains the brand equity of Tulsa Winch Group but better reflects our leadership in gearing and electronic monitoring solutions. TWG is comprised of five distinct companies that manufacture industry-specific winches, hoists, gear drives and monitoring electronics for energy, infrastructure and recovery markets worldwide. Our portfolio of products is recognized around the globe by brand names that include DP Winch®, Greer®, LANTEC®, Pullmaster®, and Tulsa Winch®--each market leaders in their own right.

State of the Art Facilities

TWG operates three manufacturing facilities in North America, the newest of which is a state-of-the-art manufacturing center completed in 2008 that expanded our Tulsa, Oklahoma headquarters by more than 168,000 square feet. As part of this expansion and a new corporate focus on integration and consolidation, TWG combined the operations of DP Manufacturing, Greer Company, and Tulsa Winch at its headquarters location.

This move also reaffirmed TWG’s strategy to integrate the company’s gearing solutions with advanced monitoring technology, and to work closely with our customers to develop application-intimate products that create added value. Moreover, TWG’s consolidation of engineers and manufacturing set the stage for strong collaboration between our gearing and electronics engineering teams and gave the company a powerful platform for new product development.
